Chet Burgess Chester (Chet) Burgess, President of Burgess Construction Co. since 1980, has over 35 years of experience in the residential construction industry. Chet has been recognized in 1992 by the National Association of Home Builders as one of America's Best Builders. Locally, he was recognized as the 2001 Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Durham & Orange Counties. This coveted [>] award is presented annually to a builder member of the association who has demonstrated dedication to the home building industry through leadership and participation in industry-related events. In 2002 and again in 2005, Chet was awarded the [>] Presidential Service Award from the HBA of Durham and Orange Counties. He is a Past President of the Home Builders Association of Durham and Orange Counties, and he is a current member of both the HBA of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties and the HBA of Burlington-Alamance County. Through his active membership in the HBA, Chet enters homes annually in the HBA-sponsored Parade of Homes where his homes have consistently won [>] awards and been recognized for home building excellence. Chet is an active member of Evergreen United Methodist Church where he serves as the Chairman of the Food Pantry Committee, seeking to feed the hungry in North Chatham County. Among other things, Chet participates in the church's fundraising efforts by coordinating its semi-annual BBQ's each spring and fall. He is deliberate and intentional in his service at Evergreen and is proud to be a part of this faith community. Chet brings that same discipline and attention to his homes and takes pride in having built more than 150 homes in the Chapel Hill area over the past fourteen years. An alumnus of Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, Chet has been a member of the Elon Athletic Foundation for four years, and he was a member of the National Executive Alumni Board at Elon from 2002 until 2004. From 2001 until 2004, Chet served on the Board of Directors of the Chatham Education Foundation. The fund's objective, "For the Advancement of Teaching in Chatham County," correlates directly with the primary purpose of the Chatham Education Foundation of providing grants for creative teaching and staff development, as a means of ensuring the most up-to-date training for teachers in their certification area. Randy Duclau Right-hand man to Chet is Burgess Construction Co. Vice President Randy Duclau, who has worked with Chet since 1984. Randy is originally from Rhode Island and has lived in the Triangle area since 1994. With a background in drafting and framing, Randy serves as an excellent connection between the architectural renderings of a home and the carpenters in the field. Randy can be found daily at the sites of new Burgess homes under construction, supervising work, solving problems and working with sub-contractors. |

Jackie Stout Critical to the success of Chet's team is Jackie Stout, North Carolina Broker, Certified Appraiser, and Broker/Owner of Southern Accents Realty, a company she founded in 1997 to promote new construction in the North Chatham County area. Jackie is a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and is a member of the Chapel Hill Board of Realtors, the North Carolina Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, Jackie has lived in Chapel Hill since 1984 and is proud to have worked with Chet since 1992. |

Virginia Wilburn An Elon University Alumnus, Virginia Wilburn joined the team in 2007 and has been a NC real estate broker since 1980. Virginia is an active Board Member of the HBA of Burlington-Alamance County who has twice been honored as Associate of the Year. She is also an active Board Member of the NC Home Builders Association, Alamance Elder Care, and Elon University Athletics Foundation. |

Terri Jones Joining Chet’s team in 2007, Terri Jones has been a NC real estate broker since 1988. She has obtained the designations of Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI), and Certified New Home Specialist (CNHS). Terri is an active Board Member of the Burlington-Alamance County Association of Realtors, the HBA of Burlington-Alamance County, and the Commercial Alliance of Burlington-Alamance County. |
